How to read the periodic table

The number at the top of each cell is the atomic number (number of protons). The letter is the chemical symbol, and below it is the element name. Columns are the groups (1 to 18) and rows are the periods (1 to 7). The two separate rows at the bottom are the lanthanides and actinides, from the f-block.
